First
things first. Before you can hit the town, it’s important for a large and in charge dog about town to have the
right equipment. In my case, I am extremely heavy and getting bigger by
the day, so my humans decided to buy a ramp for the car. That way,
they’re not wrenching their backs trying to lift me into the car and I’m
not risking injury to my hips by jumping in and out of it.
Thankfully
for my humans, I’ve taken to the ramp quite well. After bilking them
for several treats while pretending I didn’t know what the ramp was for
(did they seriously think I didn’t understand?), I have no problem
bounding up and down the ramp at will. I still bribe them for treats on
occasion by acting like I’ve forgotten the drill, but who wouldn’t?
When you need a liver treat, you need a liver treat. It’s as simple as
that.
The ramp they selected Mr. Herzher's Smart Ramp: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0014AOC68/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I don't know a doggone thing about Mr. Herzher, but he makes a great ramp. It was fairly reasonably-priced, had good online reviews, and will payoff in spades over the years. It’s also quite easy to get in and out of the back of our SUV, which is a plus. After all, I don’t want to wait for my humans to figure out an awkward, bulky ramp when I’m ready to get out of the car. I’m ready to go!

In short, I'm down with the ramp. It's tried, true and Paw-approved.
Happy Tails, my friends, let’s see where the road takes us!
